Be sure

I had a casual conversation with my manager this morning about my long distance relationship and how, ideally, I'd like to move up to LA to be with my boyfriend.

What she said in response kind of took me aback, however not in a bad way because I know it was maternal in nature. Instead of advocating the romantic "jump with both feet in because love conquers all" attitude that has been chimed incessantly into my ears by those in my social circles, she simply said, "I know long distance is hard, but make sure you're sure."

I really like flowers, but there is something to be said of beauty that is resilient enough to grow in seemingly barren places.


Translation: I have no idea what I'm doing with my life. Where I want to live, what I want to be in this world, or who will be standing by my side as I figure things out.

But here's to the beauty of adventure into the unknown. Here's to the little daily victories. Here's to the positivity of a desert song.
