I went for a 5 mile run with my dad and brother this morning and my dad was pretty pleased with my pace that he gave me a high five at the end of it.
...And I was like, what is this and why is this happening?
Haha. Anyway, it was a nice way to start my day. Now for a full day of work!

Masipag
Got my training schedule set...it's going to be a lot of miles.
I'm still getting accustomed to having a 40hr work week. And I really try to keep connected with my different friends/cousins/old coworkers on a weekly basis.
And I defintely try squeezing time for the small, necessary things that satisfy my introverted soul. I like being a social butterfly but the fact of the matter is that it does take up my energy and I just need to retreat and recharge. Drinking tea, reading, doing a crossword puzzle, and watching documentaries have become my little havens :)
Anyway, I'm not complaining.
I'm saying bring it.
Not a hipster
Had lunch with a former coworker at Peet's today in North Park. We had the opportunity to catch up on what's been going on in the past month and heavily discussed how different North Park and La Jolla are from one another. Completely different worlds.
And I would never consider myself a hipster, but I think La Jolla and its habitants aren't exactly my element. I miss North Park. I especially got a rush of nostalgia when I parallel parked [perfectly, as usual] this afternoon.
So on the spectrum, I suppose I'd swing a little more North Park and that I hold more... North Park attributes. Which is kind of interesting to me because the vibe I get from La Jolla is familiar to many parts of LA and it makes me wonder how much I'd really belong in the city of angels.
I guess I'd just need to look into the hippier LA communities!
